This past weekend we got some snow ... it was nice and fluffy and quaint.
It left several inches of polite dusting across town and seemed to appease everyone's Christmas spirits.
And then the snow squalls began ...
I have to confess that I'm not entirely sure what a snow squall is, but it sounds terrible, doesn't it?
I think it has something to do with enormous wind gusts which result in not being able to see when you're driving, but the word "squall" always reminds me of Native American Indians.
Even though we likely had less than a foot of snow, the 40-50 mph winds whipped it around and made shoveling, driving, and even walking outside nearly impossible. Right now it is 6.7 degrees outside, but wait, with the wind chill it feels like -15.
So, in the spirit of Christmas and warm weather, we just booked a cruise to the Western Caribbean. Mid-January we set sail for warmer seas ... if I can just keep from being blown away until then!
Good for you guys!! :)

I think of Native Americans too :)
Let's hope for some nice, quaint, fluffy snow next week!
