One of our favorite things each summer is going to the Sugar Grove Music Festival. Remember when we went in 2008? Or how about 2009? Last year we were pretty much zonked from picking blueberries all day, but this year we had such a lovely time! We got there around 5, and thankfully it started to cool down shortly after that. It was unbelievably warm sitting out in the sun.
I got a lot of work done on a special knitting project. I can't wait to show it to you!
Of course we ate funnel cake ... and hot dogs ... and had fresh squeezed lemonade!
Listen to this little kid singing - his whole family sings or plays bluegrass music, but he was the cutest! He looked like he was only about 4 or 5 years old. Sorry the video quality isn't great - I'm just learning about taking video and using Vimeo.
Here is a small sampling of the Carolina Chocolate Drops, one of our favorite bands.
Last, but certainly not least, we got to hear Doc Watson play. He is pictured on the left and is an amazing guitarist. It was a treat to listen to such a legend.
